Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear. It has a repaired chip and crack on its front top back rail. It was given a fresh coat of Danish oil. Please see photos and zoom in for details. We attempt to portray any imperfections. Circa, Mid-20th Century.

Highly sculpted elephant ears on each side, a headdress in the center, and the leg supports are carved in a V shape connected with a stretcher baring cross supports which mimic the elephant ears! PHENOMENAL!! Elephants are considered a sacred animal in Thailand and these seats were used most often in the past to carry wealthy people during progresses or processions. It was also a symbol of wealth for the owner and as a result might be elaborately decorated sometimes with expensive gemstones.
