Cushion in … Read more Wonderful traditional "Monk´s chair" made in Sweden around 1900. Made from solid Scandinavian oak with an amazing patina. Cushion in romantic silk upholstery. A monk's chair is a piece of furniture that was particularly popular in national romanticism. The monk's chair is made up of three direct, vertical posts which both form legs and hold up the armrests. Between these is a horizontal, triangular situation whose tip points backwards. Monks' chairs are often provided with home-woven, thin cushions. See less
