Wonderful landscape of the historic bell tower of the Carmel Mission with background of dynamic coastal clouds and a foreground of blooming foliage by Elmer Ekeroth (American, 1918-1993). Signed "Ekeroth" lower left and on verso. Displayed in giltwood frame. Image, 20"H x 16"L.
Ekeroth specialized in impressionist landscapes, seascapes, and still life works. He was a founding member and first President of the Pacific Grove Art Association in 1967 and served on the first Board of Directors for the Oakland Art Association. less
