The threaded top opens to … Read more Two antique treenware, sewing cases to hold thimbles and needles hand carved of coquilla nuts. The threaded top opens to reveal an unusual, animal form oddity with an open mouth with a red fabric tongue on an accordion stack of paper disks. The base with a hole, perhaps for dispensing thread. Together with a Tagua nut carved with a cameo portrait of a gentleman in profile on one side and the natural shell of the nut on the other. Perhaps a likeness of Napoleon. Price is for (3) pieces.
