Chinese bird and flower scroll, freely drawn colored inks on heavy paper, mounted on a shimmering, light and dark gold, … more Chinese bird and flower scroll, freely drawn colored inks on heavy paper, mounted on a shimmering, light and dark gold, silk brocade in a dragon medallions pattern. The scroll is signed, with a poem in Chinese caoshu script and numerous red seal marks in various shapes and sizes scattered about the image. The image size is 25" wide x 50.25" high. The scroll has a black silk makio and kakio at the top and dark mahogany jikusaki at the bottom. The outer scroll cover is a light gold raw silk. Circa early 20th century, no later than mid century.
