Description: We are selling this very fine 19th Century German painting. This oil on canvas painting features a charming young street … more We are selling this very fine 19th Century German painting. This oil on canvas painting features a charming young street boy selling his merchandise in a market around several signs written in German. The painting is signed in the lower right and appears to be signed G. Berger and dated 18--, perhaps by Berlin artist Gottlob Berger, who unfortunately shares a name with a much later Nazi officer.

Condition: Some signs of light restoration to the painting with what appears to be a re-lining. Frame has some damages and losses and has been over painted in bronze paint.
