The back is a solid beveled panel of polished and finished wood. Pennsylvania house was finely made solid wood furniture, the lumber was sourced in the forests of Pennsylvania near the factory in Lewisburg PA. The are was know for old dense forest growth of fine Pennsylvania cherry. The chest has been complete touched and polished and look like new condition. This chairside chest is 24 inches tall, 24 inches wide, 15 inches deep less
