The outstanding properties of this armchair are elegance, timelessness and high seating comfort. There is also a ease through which only a free wing model has. While the first steel pipe chairs from the 1920s were hardly upholstery, a whole series of voluminous padded armchairs and sofas appeared in the 1935 Thonet catalog. Probably the Thonet's own design of the S 411 from 1932 marks the beginning of this new product series. I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs,
designer records,
or other literature sources and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising
from
misattribution
