This … more Rustic brass plated tea kettle with a copper handle, purchased at a flea market in Belgium in the 1960s. This large tea kettle is hand made and unmarked and dates to the early 20th or 19th century. The finial on the lid is a particularly charming curled strip. The handle is a hollow copper tube; it moves easily but gets a little hung up on the spout when raised. The kettle has some dents and wear, especially around the spout, and an uneven patina with some darker areas and drips from polishing and a little rust around the rim of the lid (see photos). It's a great primitive piece for display but leaks a little. less
