R.K. Red studied art at a small University in Minnesota. Her education offered her the opportunity to study art throughout Europe with much of her time spent studying in Italy. Her early work was largely inspired by her time in Europe and the exploration of material and nature. After a decade working in arts organizations and as an artist, Red took a step away from showing her work in public as she worked to develop a new voice. Red has recently started to release her work again and has received great praise from art lovers and collectors. Red lives with her daughter and husband in the San Francisco Bay Area. Red’s art is loved for the use of texture and reflection of her world travels. less
