This is a UNIQUE and LARGE, antique HAND painted, enamel plaque on copper, most likely done by Limoges.

Depicting Paul Beresteyn, Judge at Harlem.

After the original at Louvre.

Paulus Van Beresteyn.

Excellent hand painted, excellent expressions, richly colored and decorated.

Set behind a bronze frame, in a wooden frame, decorated and painted in black and 2 gold tones.

Condition report :

Tiny chip at the top right edge ( well restored ) see photos.

2 faint hairline, at the right side of the enamel plaque ( unnoticeable ) ( see photo ).

Wear to the silk cover frame( see photos ).

Discoloration and scratches to the wood frame, consistent with age and use, which add charm to the piece.

I detached it, clean it ( see photos )

Clean and ready to be placed.
