Canal is a vase from the Laguna Collection designed by Ludovica+Roberto Palomba for Purho in spring 2022.
Like the canals of the Venetian lagoon, twisted, flexed, characterized by sudden bends and curves, but also by the gentle ripples of the water, so Canal — a vase that owes its core form to the basic cylindrical shape — acquires personality thank to the undulating and apparently imperfect glass surfaces.
Made of Murano glass in iridescent colours and sandblasted finishes, Canal completes the other artefacts of the Laguna Collection: a composite set of organic forms, apparently imperfect cylinders, voluminous bowls, lavish bags which fold onto themselves, in which fthe ormal flow is interrupted only by the engraving on two of the vases. A departure for a collection that is a tribute to Murano and the lagoon that surrounds it. Labeled by Maker See less
