Aldo Tura is an Italian designer, who established his home production house in Lombardy in 1939. Working between the trends of art deco and modernism, Tura created unique and luxury furniture and accessories, which were characterized by rich materials, sculptural forms, and exclusive artisan techniques. The works of Tura have become very collected, especially the pieces with exotic finishes, such as goat and parchment skin, in bright red, green and yellow ranges. Tura is one of the most exceptional Italian designers of the 1950s. In the post -war years, while many furniture producers were adapting their production methods to mass production, Tura continued to engage in traditional craft methods. He preferred complex shapes and high work intensity processes, which could never have been replicated in a large -scale production system. As a result, the number of tire works available in the market remained in limited numbers. Today the company of Tura continues to produce luxury furniture in Lombardy, but a lot of information about the artist has been lost over time.
