This collection is comprised of 10 Yunomi drinking bowls for tea ceremonies and 2 saki beakers curated to form a set. These vessels are masterfully made in different shapes and sizes of tea cups with glazes of green, black, rust, and brown. These wonderful vessels are made in the wabi-sabi style of perfect imperfection. This set was purchased from the former mate of a Utah artist. This artist was commissioned by the Japanese Olympic Committee to make three hundred vessels for a tea ceremony. The artist decided he liked the vessels so much he kept them. They will make an inspired gift or a beautiful display. They are signed " MW" 2002/2001 some have Utah also inscribed on the bottom of the cup.
