This Wasily Kandinsky rare vintage 1981 lithograph print custom framed Paris museum Modernist poster " Leger " 1930, is a very special and unique piece to add to your collection.
The Paris museum poster print is published by The Centre Georges Pompidou, Musee National D'Art Moderne, Paris, printed in France in 1981 in an unnumbered limited edition by Imp. De L'Indre Paris. It features an artwork image originally created by Kandinsky in 1930 titled " Leger ", copyright by A.D.A.G.P. 1981, M.N.A.M.
Wasily Kandinsky ( 1866 - 1944 ) was a Russian born Modern Expressionist painter and art theorist. He is considered to be one of the most important Abstract artists of all time, and the pioneer of The Abstract Art Movement. He was an educator at the famous Bauhaus School in Germany. He is credited with landmark theories relating to his original color compositions and concepts of spiritual life and humanity in his artworks. Art works by Kandinsky are included in the collections of many of the world's most prestigious museums.
The rare out of print framed Paris exhibition poster measures 20 1/4" W X 28" H X 1 3/8" D. It is custom framed with UV protective plexiglass in a Contemporary Modernist polished black finish recessed detail metal frame molding, with an attached hanging wire on the reverse back side for easy wall installation.
It is in excellent " like new " condition. The poster print is in excellent " like new " clean vintage condition consistent with age and light signs of handling.
