A wonderful example of religious folk art, miniature diorama form, featuring a stained wooden cabinet with a pair of primitive leather hinged recessed paneled doors, opening to reveal a striking intricately detailed sculptural scene, depicting church or monument background topped with whimsical figural finial, surrounded by numerous hand-painted polychrome sculptures of people and band members gathered in front, with a central focus on a raised Mary holding Christ atop a gilded altar. Decorative landscape painting to the back as well as molded flower reliefs to the inside of the doors.
