Offering a pair of Modernist/Art Deco bronze sconces from the 30s or 40s. They’re in excellent condition, with good wiring (in fact rewired) and good patina. The style is American Modernist. These are particularly handsome, in my humble opinion, as the Southwest-style shades are warm and inviting and offer a nice contrast to the sparseness of the Modernist design of the bronze backs.
Some paint loss to the shades (minor, contributing to your full-on "antique" look). At about 12 ½ inches high these sconces are higher and offer slightly greater presence than most 11-inch or so American sconces; at their widest point they’re about 4 ¼ wide. Plenty of room for a 100-watt bulb.
