The pleasant colour blue (deep sky translucent) and with great provenance too: Back in the days the whole Fiera Milano was in this colour. We could only find black and white pictures though so hard to find back but we have included one picture of the Fiera to give you an idea. The Fiera Milano was the main exposition centre in that period in Italy. Everything that had to do with design and industry and all the big brands that wanted to show their new models, would show it there. Cars, typewriters etc. What we liked very much is the combination of the three materials that have been used: The metal, the glass and the wood. The rectangular metal of the vitrine works very will with the rounded shapes of the blue wooden lower cabinet. Especially the curved shape of the legs of the cabinet forms a nice contrast with the straight lines of the metal. The doors of the vitrine still run very smooth but the locks should be replaced if you want those working. The glass plate in the middle is adjustable by unscrewing the metal beams and moving them up or down in their rails. All very clever. The top and the bottom are attached to one another and the whole piece will ship as one. The measurements are based on one item. less
