The wood is in good shape overall with no splits or breaks and the dark finish still looks fine. One of the chairs was repaired at some point, as was evident by the glue that was running down in spots. These areas were cleaned up, and the stain was touched up where the glue was removed. The backs are solid and straight with all of the more delicate spindles in place. One of the leather seat covers has a couple rips, and the other looks good. Although these were treated as a pair, they are not exactly the same size. this was not evident until they were lined up against a wall after working on them. They are close, and the styles and construction are exactly the same. less
