On curved, rejuvenating legs of standing table corpus made of black -painted/ebonized wood with a curved frame and a passed, loved table top. The upper degrees of the table legs are decorated with elaborately and detailed gilded gilded bronze appliqués in the form of masquerade of bearded men, which are connected by bronze tapes with the volute -shaped bronzeabots of the feet. On the front two lockable drawers, which in their shape follow the turns of the frame and frame a central gold -plated bronze apples in the form of a coat of arms. The back of the bureaus is designed in the same way with blender and drawer fronts. On the sides there are gilded bronze vignettes with acanthus leaf decor in the Régenence style. The contours of the writing furniture are effectively emphasized with narrow bronze bands that trace them. The final, passively curted table top is protected by a wide bronze creation with floral cornersticks and is equipped with a dark red leather plate with gold embossing. Excellent and rare desk or Bureau Plat of the well-known Parisian Ebenist Jean-Louis Benjamin Gros with elaborately designed and excellently gilded bronze shots, which form an attractive contrast to the black-painted surface. Jean-Louis-Benjamin Gros was registered until 1850 as an Ébéniste and Marqueteur in the Rue des Blancs-Manteaux 27 and then until 1863 in the rue of the tournament 43. He was connected to the Winckelsen manufactory and acted as its main key. In addition, he also worked independently in various places in Paris. Together with his son Aristide-Henry, Gros exhibited at the World Exhibition in Paris in 1855 and won a medal, which in the following earned numerous important orders. After Jean-Louis Benjamin's retirement, his son took over the business. A majority were particularly valued for the sometimes unusual combinations of materials that his furniture had. Condition: very good, min. Signs of age and wear, surface refreshed. This piece has an attribution mark,
