Description: This is a hand painted, highly textured small vase with 3 dimensional leaves. The color is a ballet slipper, pale … more This is a hand painted, highly textured small vase with 3 dimensional leaves. The color is a ballet slipper, pale pink with pale blue floral design and still life drawing. It is in excellent, pre-owned condition. There are no chips, cracks or repairs. Please see photos for more detail on condition. The vase is hand signed on the base, “Italy Ardalt 5093/A”.

Of interesting note: Ardalt is an American importing company that had its offices on Madison Avenue in New York. It started its importing in 1945 after the end of World War II. Pieces from the FF factory were rarely marked – except for some pieces simply marked FF. Most though will have nothing or simply “Italy” and a number. Although it is hard to identify designers or artists…it is known that Aldo Londi worked there prior to going to Bitossi. less
