Original antique scuffs, scratches and wood patina are consistent with age and previous use. This lovely sturdy table came to our workshop with layers of "gunked on" traditional dark reddish brown varnish. To achieve the new updated finish, we chose to carefully hand strip, bleach and wax with three different tones of hand wax applications aimed to restore and highlight the beautiful wood grain and to create a more versatile and integratable piece for modern decor' . Look for more compatible pieces to come to our listings. As always please use coasters to protect surface. A natural beeswax and soft cloth can be used to replenish finish and buff out water ring mishaps. less

This is an antique Victorian style solid mahogany two tiered turtle top side table that has been thoughtfully hand *refinished. We absolutely love it for its elegant, classical warm romantic French country style that perfectly integrates with modern elements, offering light natural wood tones, tiered shelfing, elegant beveled edge top and beveled edge feet, matching turned stretcher and legs, and a concealed slide out drawer with (removable) grass cloth liner. Easily styled as console entry piece, writing desk, night stand, side table, hall end piece with art or mirror hanging over. Add a small boudoir lamp to show off its soft curves and beautiful wood grain.
