Rare pair opaline type cased glass Italian mushroom lamp pair. These have a very appealing glow, a visually interesting postmodern shape and a sculptural space age vibe.
These will accept standard sized light bulbs for a bright look. In our listing photos smaller low output bulbs were used. These are switched with rotary line switch.
These are custom lamps made with all new hardware (new polished nickel finish brass bases, new sockets, wiring, etc) using the original vintage 1970s Italian cased glass. I find one other example of this exact glass piece and lamps details are very similar to what we've restored these with.
These shades are handblown and may have mild variations in thickness and other minor anomalies associated with production of this type of glass. There are no mold seams.. These are either high end Empoli production, or Murano.
Glass alone is 9.5" tall, 6" diameter. Lamp is 10.5" tall all together, bases are 5" diameter, 1" tall. less
