The round hand-embroidered silk applique inspired me to design this colourful pillow. The royal blue edging on the applique is repeated in the royal blue silk fabric I used as a border and backing.
To highlight the applique and make it pop, I put it on an ecru silk square, and then outlined the seams with metallic trim, which adds richness and warmth. Detailing the metallic trim with knots is a special detail.
Royal blue silk piping, feather insert, lining, and a zipper for easy use, finish this unique expertly crafted pillow. less
