Magnificent postmodern tessellated Mactan coffee table with rough edge stone triangular base and triangular glass top with a large, polished sphere in the style of Maitland Smith. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear. Please see photos and zoom in for details. We attempt to portray any imperfections. NO!! This is NOT a huge slice of cheesecake with a cherry in the center!!! This is a STUNNING coffee table comprised of a rough edge Mactan stone triangular base featuring a large, polished sphere holding a lovely triangular shaped beveled & rounded edge glass top in the style of Maitland Smith. So, a fun fact about Mactan stone… It is a sedimentary conglomerate of shale and coral quarried in the Philippines on an island called Opon which is located at the eastern part of the province of Cebu. It’s an island encircled by fascinating beaches and wondrous sights. The original name for these stones was "Coral stones" but that changed as the years passed by. Mactan Stones is Opon's Marvelous Gem. And this side table is DEFINITELY a gem!! Isn’t it GORGEOUS??? We certainly think so! If you look at it from above… it looks like a wonderful piece of pie or slice of pizza!! But obviously much more extravagant!! It is just waiting to become the favorite latest postmodern addition to your home whether in the family room between two fabulous lounge chairs or in the living room across from your sofa!
