A rare 1930-35 French art deco pendant by the famous Paris based company of Georges Leleu in nickel plated bronze or solid brass. Leleu founded the company by the turn of the century. It closed down in the late 30s. The shade in thick molded-pressed glass is signed G.Leleu on the inside of the bowl. This bowl with a cheaper fixture of ropes is represented on one of the G. Leleu posters that were issued each season.
The chandelier on offer is 49,5 cm (19-1/2") high and has a diameter of 36,5 cm (14-3/8"). It´s in excellent condition. I have replated and patinated the mounting. And the fixture is rewired. It holds an American standard socket.
