They may be used to display any of your favorite objects, such as plates, candles, ceramics, you name it. They were made by the Syracuse Ornamental Company, likely between 1930-1950. During this period they made many decorative objects for the home. These are made of molded wood pulp; each is approximately 5 pounds in weight. The width across the top at the widest point is 9-3/8 inches, and the height, overall, is 8-3/8 inches. The width of the decorative area under the shelf is approximately 7 inches. less
