From the Web: "G. Clark Sealy: A contemporary American etcher and aquatint engraver, G. Clark Sealy studied art at The New School, Art & Animation, New York, NY (1984), the Pratt Institute-School of Architecture, Brooklyn, NY, (1968) and as Printmaker Apprentice under Fernando Torm-Toha in New York (1975-1980). He began exhibiting his work in Hawaii, California, Japan and elsewhere during the 1980's. In 1976 Gallery 100, New York featured a selection of Clark Sealy's and Fernando Torm's original prints in their January exhibition. The Princeton 1976 periodical contained an article for the exhibition. A portion of the article read; "Sealy landscapes are literal in concept. The color is strong and clashes as frequently as it creates harmonies.".
G. Clark Sealy's original prints deal with Hawaiian landscapes and seascapes, such as this original etching entitled, "Sailing Home". Examples of the artist's tropical bird and floral etchings and aquatints include, "Loon", "Toucan" and "Lotus Pond". An impression of "Lotus Pond" is housed in the Indianapolis Museum of Art, accession number 2001.331. The University of Toronto Art Centre includes an impression of "Toucan" in its collection. G. Clark Sealy was also represented by the Maui Hands Gallery, Hawaii."
