Type 200-244 - a chair for Kowalski
The armchair chair [manufacturer's name] type 200-244 was produced in Słupskie Fabryki Mebli in the 1970s. The obtained labels of the model point more precisely to the period 1974 - 1976. This is one of the simplest types of upholstered chairs produced in the period of the People's Republic of Poland in terms of construction. Next to the 1020 B model, it is probably the most widespread design from SFM. The fabric was based on corrugated springs and polyurethane foam. Thus, it was one of the first upholstered furniture in Poland to use polyurethane foam. It gradually displaced moltoprene equivalents and "porous rubber", i.e. forms of very comfortable silicone materials. Visible carpentry elements were turned and finished with colorless varnish.
