Vintage Noritake Royal Ruby fine china dinnerware. This set includes 12 dinner plates and 11 salad plates and is marked "Noritake Made in Occupied Japan". This mark was used by Noritake for two years in the late 1940s. The plates have a gold trim and feature a pink floral spray that adorn a chandelier. The color is a deep ruby. This pattern is very collectible and sets a gorgeous table. The dinner plates are 10" in diameter and the salad plates are 7.5" in diameter. All pieces are chip, crack and break free. There is one small (size of a pin head) mark that appears to have been made during manufacturing. We have included a picture of the area for your review. Overall a beautiful set with minor vintage wear to the gold trim. Please review the photographs to see the details up close.
Note: we purchased this set via an estate sale and it included a note indicating it was purchased from the President of the Occupied Japan Collectors' Club in 1987. We have not verified this but have included a picture of the note for your review. For privacy reasons we have hidden the street address that also appears on the card. The card will be included in the set.
