Nador's use of layering paint in this piece lets the viewer feel a sense of the heaviness in the air. Winter clouds blanket the sky and snow rests on the rooftops in this European street view. The only sense of color comes from a few brightly dressed figures in the bottom right corner of the painting about to enter the cafe, the main focal point although not as towering as the surrounding buildings but stands out from Nador's use of color. less
