Known as mechag, such strikers would hang from one's belt and doubled as a small pouch for flint and tinder. This antique Tibetan flint striker features a flared steel striking plate and a simple leather pouch reinforced with gold and silver plated elements. Elevated by a custom steel mount, this small striker lives on as a sculptural object with storied history. See less
