I built this shelf in the style of the great designer Pierre Chapo. He never made a single shelf version of his Bibliothèque series so I have. I examined these shelves carefully and made some changes to the design to correct several issues the original shelves have regarding warping and the corbels separating from the shelves.
This shelf is made from solid 1.75" cherry and has a hand applied durable oil finish. It measures 56" wide. Shelf is 11" deep to the cleats and 12.75" to the wall. The cleats measure 20 3/8" tall less
