This vintage 4x11 Shahsavan kilim is a unique tribal rug for its period and provenance. Handwoven in wool, it originates from Turkey circa 1950-1960.

The field hosts horizontal stripes alternating in red, beige-brown, blue, black and green in the polychromatic colorway. Connoisseurs will note the rarity of such smart, yet playful colorways in this provenance, seldom seen before by our Principal Josh Nazmiyal. This is a graphic, yet livable piece with vast applications and rare features alike.
