Vintage Home is pleased to present this 1950s Americana Folk Art Cross Stitch Queen Sized Quilt. This is a gorgeous piece of Americana artistry. The quilt has a white cotton background and solid white back side. It’s hand stitched quilted. The details are amazing including the laurel leaf stitched design on the back. But it’s the cross stitch on the front that is so stunning. The Nebraska artist chose a color palette of pinks and green for the intricate floral design. The center of the quilt has 12 medallions featuring a squared scroll work in Kelly green surrounding a circle with a rose center in two shades of pink and dark green leaves. The 12 medallions are framed with a small open work Cerise pink outline. Thus us repeated on the quilts edging. The edges also have the Kelly green scroll work and 18 flowers with dark green leaves. This quilt fits up to a Queen sized bed and with its Palm Beach color palette works in both cold weather and coastal homes.
