Prior to being refinished this office chair was a sore sight. The finish that was originally on it was a real heavy dark black,which heavily obscured the gorgeous natural grain present throughout the chair. It was covered in scuffs and nicks and dings. But with some gentle sanding and refinishing this beautiful piece revealed itself. This office chair was produced when the company first opened between 1885 and 1895 as indicated by the use of the metal tag on the rear of the seat itself. The original tag was only used in production that nine year period. less
