Gorgeous hand painted Italian Deruta style wall fountain with lid. It has a bronze spigot valve coming from the mouth of what appears to be the fabled "Green Man" at the base of this Majolica vessel.
The backplane of this wall mounted ceramic vessel has two holes for mounting located just beneath the opening for the lid. It was a Lavabo at one time in its existence, part of a 2 piece basin with reservoir.
It would be really beautiful as a flower planter.
Festive spring and summer colors of yellow, green, orange and purple adorn this unique piece.
