This is a lovely piece, circa 1910-1920 that will delight the sewing or crafts enthusiast, and can equally serve as … Read more This is a lovely piece, circa 1910-1920 that will delight the sewing or crafts enthusiast, and can equally serve as a unique side table, end table, hall table or nightstand, etc. Sure, you've seen these Martha Washington sewing tables before, yet have you ever seen one that has a false drawer / flip top, in addition to the two flip top side compartments?
This piece has been professionally refinished and is in excellent condition. Note the dovetailed drawer construction. Opening the center portion (see picture #8) reveals an area with six spool holders, 4 hooks, and a 5.5" by 6" compartmentalized box that slides front to back within the center; the box also has dovetailed corners. There is an area on the back of the center top/lid portion that likely originally held a pin cushion (see pictures 2, 3). See less
