With a rounded, globular body and cylindrical neck, the large vase reinterprets the traditional gooseneck shape known as a "celestial ball vase" with clean lines and an understated sculptural presence. The striking orange glaze nods to the Song dynasty (960­–1279) when tastes shifted to monochrome glazes in single, statement-making colors.
