Wegner designed the RY-25 sideboard, known as the President or Presidential, for the Danish company RY Møbler in 1960. The well-proportioned credenza is raised on steel and rosewood legs; features two large tambour doors, with unique steel and rosewood pulls, that conceal a spacious white oak interior with four adjustable shelves to either side of four shallow cutlery trays. This stunning example contrasts an exquisite bookmatched Brazilian rosewood exterior with an oak interior. The cabinet bears a very faint Ry Møbler stamp and is also dated on the backside 23, APR 1972. A fine example of Danish Modern design for the discerning collector. less
