Description: Just shot from Jack’s Restoration Canon, this exquisite French chandelier, curvaceous and richly ornamented, evokes the sophisticated design elements of … more Just shot from Jack’s Restoration Canon, this exquisite French chandelier, curvaceous and richly ornamented, evokes the sophisticated design elements of such luminaries as Sue et Mare. That is, “dans l’esprit” of these famed designers, as the French might put it.

The entire fixture, which is made of solid brass, has been disassembled and re-plated in a brushed, or “satin” nickel finish, and antiqued to avoid that “born yesterday” look. Fully rewired, it’s now equipped with American candelabra sockets, each capable of holding a 60-watt incandescent bulb for a total of 180 watts of light.

The shades, with their especially vibrant Art Deco design elements, offer a bit of sparkle via their clear areas (all the more reason to employ incandescent bulbs, with filaments).

This chandelier hangs down about 22 inches and has a diameter of about 18.
