“Hound by Me” is a diptych painting for canine lovers. Each greyhound statue figurine face each other, seated with an obedient pose. The greyhounds proudly stand guard but the cheerful color palette welcomes you home.
Throughout history greyhound and whippet statues were made with porcelain, bone china, bronze, concrete and resin. These works of art for the wall are perfect for flanking an entry, guarding a sideboard, hutch or even over nightstands in the bedroom. Perhaps they will inspire your dog’s behavior when greeting guests at the door?
These white greyhound statues pop off the vivid turquoise blue background. Their soft kind faces are friendly yet proud. “Hound by Me” I and II are surrounded by exquisite pink clematis blooms. Black eyed susan vines bring it pops of yellow and dainty honeysuckle even makes an appearance. Look closely and you’ll discover a friendly little grasshopper, a few delicate bees and even a couple of Chinoiserie butterflies.
