Tobacco Jar from France from Ziegler, Jules-Claude. There is no scratches or chips. It is in great condition with tin lid that includes French language paper.
Almost the same tobacco jar is in V&A Museum in London. There is an item "Tobacco jar Designed and made by Jules-Claude Ziegler, Voisinlieu, nr. Beauvais, France about 1840 Unmarked Salt-glazed stoneware, moulded C.263&A-1918 Given by Lt.-Col. K. Dingwall, D.S.O."
This Jar has the same texture and pattern as I have on my jar.
No chips or cracks found.
Size is about an 6.5 x 4 x 4 inch.
