Recalling the traditional Dutch still life paintings, this oil piece brings compelling color to the home space. Oil on board, it features a large pumpkin sliced into quarters and carefully arranged on a flat surface. The artist, attempts to capture the realism of the cut pumpkin and slices presented, particularly in the use of texture and light to highlight the contrasts.
