Statement

Living on the coast of Malibu, I choose to experience light more than sound. Light for me is prismatic, with mystical hues of blue and gold—a reoccurring vista of every inspiring sunrise or sunset. This transcendental illumination is the focal point of my work.

As an architect, I learnt ways to manipulate light for environments. Playing with color influences one’s psychology and defines the narrative of a space. Fragmentations of light speak to the transitory quality of life, as well as it’s fragility. My past work revered light as it passed through form, morphing the space with new ‘kinetic’ possibilities. This process developed into the Chroma series: an investigation of materiality and perception through time.

Like the rhythms of the sky, Chroma is in constant flux. It allows a meditative inward journey of dream-like consciousness, to savor the beauty of a moment suspended in time. See less
