A splendid bronze bust of famed composer Franz Liszt in later life. A handsome 3/4 bust redention depicting Liszt with his long hair. Complete with nameplate, raised on a 1.5-inch diameter carved specimen orange marble pedestal base.

(1811 -1886) German/ Hungarian (1811 -1886)
Liszt was a prolific composer, pianist and teacher of the Romantic era. Best known for his piano music. His piano works are often marked by their difficulty. Some of his works are programmatic, based on extra-musical inspirations such as poetry or art. Liszt is credited with the creation of the symphonic poem.
