'Lyon Iron Works' was originally established as a foundry in 1840. Walter Lyon sold the Works to George Raymond in 1922. In 1941 the business was renamed to the Lyon-Raymond Corporation until its final name change in 1951. This machinists table originated between 1941 and 1951 as indicated by the company name serial number plate, Lyon Raymond Corporation.
