About The Poster: This print by Alexandre Theophile Steinlen (1859-1923) is from the French songbook by Paul Duelmet, Chansons de femmes (Enoch & Cie and Paul Ollendorff, 1896). Delmet's music sheets are accompanied by poetry from various writers (Henri Maigret, Armand Sylvestre, Jules Méry and others) and 15 prints by Steinlen - one for each song.
This particular piece is for the song Les femmes de France.
The book is rare as only 50 copies were printed.
