When you put the top of the double boiler on the bottom and push it down, the baby chick whistles. I haven't tried cooking eggs in it, but I bet you'll hear quite a tune! The Revere stamp on the bottom dates this from 1929 to 1932. The yellow chicken feels like hard plastic. As the photographs show, there is one ding on the bottom of each pan, and there is corrosion in the interior of the top pan. See less
