These pieces, commonly known as "Welsh dressers" were a necessity of the 19th and early 20th century English kitchen or dining room. There were no pantries or other storage to speak of in the average English country home of the era~~just what you would expect to see in the downstairs kitchen on Downton Abbey!

Upper open 5.5" deep shelves with plate grooves~~proudly display your favorite Imari, Staffordshire or Majolica plates~~2 deep drawers with original brass "batwing" style hardware for ample storage
